(8/10) We Are Harlot is the successful cooperation of Asking Alexandria singer Danny Warsnop and former Sebastian Bach six stringer Jeff George. The line-up includes bassist Brian Weaver as well as drummer Bruno Agra who also played at Revolution Renaissance. Looking on the history of the four musicians we can conclude that we don't talk about rookies.

In the forth year of the band's existance the debut album came out via Roadrunner Records. The longplayer, simply called "We Are Harlot", follows the single release from 2014 that was titled "Denial".

Talking about "Denial"; it's a dirty rock song that is also on the debut. The number has a great guitar solo and even some shouts from Warsnop. But those are more or less the only ones on the album. The songs are all with clean vocals and excellent melody lines. So, if you're thinking about metalcore a la Asking Alexandria and you loved that, tha you should maybe stop reading here and now.

Another tune that is worth to be mentioned is the strong opener "Dancing on nails". Also be chosen to be a single release from the album, the song is roaring like hell. It comes with massive guitars and some piano sounds as being the cherry on the cake. The following "DLT" can easily keep this high level - as all the songs on "We Are Harlot" actually do.

More highlights needed? "One more night" is one of those. We Are Harlot combines Mötley Crüe sleaze rock with some mighty riffs and a lot of street credibility. This results in a great rock song that takes no prisoners.

The last track on the debut album is called "I tried". It's the soulful ballad on the band's debut that circumnavigates all cliches and is just a great song. A romantic tune that marks the end of an thrilling album that makes a lot of fun. To recommed!
