CD review DAMAGE "Do the Damage"

(7/10) If you're down, listen to this album. "Do the Damage" is the new longplayer of Danny Damage (v,g), Dr. B. (g), Chuck Belly (b) and Lil' Val (d), all sailing under the flag of Damage. Having listened to album explains the name of the band. The quartet plays mean hardrock that's busting with energy. I don't want to see a club after Damage turning it into a madhouse. With a kick-ass punk attitude the guys remind me of The Hellacopters ("Cobra City" and "Bad Look Dog"), but there is also a lot of AC/DC included ("Get Schemed"") and "Shoot it Out" sounds like an earlier Krokus song.

What supports the underground impression is the good but basic production that gives "Do the Damage" an authentic appeal without compromising on the entertainment factor.

What more to say? Actually nothing since you should listen to "Do the Damage" and enjoy the punch. In case you're looking for fancy new music you've never heard before you should consider other releases. But if you need a musical wake-up call, than this is your disc.
