(7/10) Good news from Greece. There is a new melodic heavy rock album coming from Athens and the band that recorded it is called "Reload". The group was founded in 2012 by Teo Ross, Tasos Lazaridis, Marianiki Toka, Kostas Tokas and Elias Papadopoulps. Reload combines more heavy stuff with catchy melodies that are easy to grasp from the very first round in the CD player.

The tunes of Reload are sometimes harder, like in "Superhero" that sounds like a hybrid of Edguy and the more melodic Helloween, while the opener "Give into the night" is a melodic rocker with a solid keyboard foundation. "Higher" is a quite powerful rocker with a crunchy riff followed by the ballad "Prince of steel" - a song that starts slow and develops to a forceful track.

The other tunes on "Hotter than a bullet" are somewhere between AOR ("Comeback") and hardrock a la Europe ("Survive").

So, nothing wrong with album. The positive impression is also supported by a good production that blows some life into each tune of "Hotter than a bullet".

If there is a point of critic than it's the fact that the music isn't very innovative. The songs sound good, but it feels like having heard them already earlier. But as said, the quality level fits.

"Hotter than a bullet" is an album that is worth to be checked by melodic heavy rock fans that call bands like Europe, Gotthard and H.E.A.T. to their faves.
