(8/10) 'The H.E.A.T. is on'. This isn’t only a song from Glen Frey, which is by the way also the intro to a H.E.A.T. show. It is also a matter of fact during the shows of the Swedish rock band.

After releasing their quite successful studio album “Tearing down the walls", the band went on the road in 2014. While being on their first headliner tour the guys took the opportunity to capture one of the gigs and release it as a live album. The decision was to record the show in London, which H.E.A.T. performed in The Garage on May 16 2014.

The setlist covered a perfect mix between new songs like “Point of no return” and “Inferno” on the one hand and older stuff too. Each of the tracks is great melodic hardrock that combines the older Europe and some Whitesnake from the 80's to an excellent melodic hardrock coctail.

The sound on the live album is very good by still being authentic. I have seen the band a few months later in De Boerderij in Holland and I have to say that what I have seen live and heard on the new album goes very much hand in hand.

H.E.A.T. is a live band. They are performing with enthusiasm and passion. The show is a 90 minutes energy boost that you can’t escape from. And this is what you get on the album too.

An album for having a good time.
