This was one of the craziest shows I have seen - and the one with the smallest amount of visitors I have seen. The Baroeg in Rotterdam is not too big, but I think it wasn't more than 30 people who found their way to the venue tonight. This has most probably to do with the fact, that at the same day Paradise Lost played in Utrecht and Dark Tranquillity in Tilburg. Both cities are not that far away from Rotterdam.
But anyhow. When I arrived at the venue the stage was almost prepared for Mammoth Mammoth. The guys came from Down Under for having a European tour. The band plays hard rock, with some stoner influences. Since AC/DC and Airbourne we know that bands from Australia are energetic and a bit crazy. The same goes for Mammoth Mammoth. They just ignored the fact that there was so little audience and made the best out of it. A big Sunday evening party. The band started at 19:00 and managed to get those 30 people moving, banging, dancing,... I was just amazing to see. I think that Mikey Tucker, the singer of the band, stood just half of the time on the podium. The rest of the time he was singing and having fun with and for the fans. It wasnt like 'band on stage an audience in front'. It was jet one unit. A real rock'n'roll club show that evening in the Baroeg. Everybody who was there tonight didn't regret that decision. For all the ones who have decide to go for one of the other concerts or stay on the sofa I have to say: watch this band. They are great and they deserve a much bigger audience.
