CD review BAD RELIGION "Christmas songs" EP

(7/10) There are a few things certain in the Christmas time. Days get darker, a lot of people buy christmas trees, Wham's "Last christmas" is on endless loop on the radio and rock bands release a Christmas album/song. Billy Idol did that a while ago, The Ramones have their x-mas song and this year it's time for Bad Religion to release an EP called "Christmas songs".

Bad Religion took eight traditional Christmas songs and made their special version out of it. It sounds actually pretty cool. It's more Bad Religion than x-mas. A good soundtrack for the Christmas days. Better than a lot of other stuff.

The last track of the EP is a remix of their "American Jesus" in a remix version of Andy Wallace. Sounds good, but I can't find major changes to the original version.

The record isn't a revolution in punk rock, but the EP definitely helps you to get into a Christmas mood without loosing your rockin roots ;o)
